NSCZ gives ZHA conditions

THE National Sports Council of Zambia (NSCZ) says the Zambia Hockey Association (ZHA) elections will be held when the organisation pays affiliation fees.
In an interview in Lusaka yesterday, NSCZ acting general secretary Emmanuel Phiri said ZHA is among 13 sports associations that have not paid affiliation fees.
Phiri said the council nullified the elected ZHA executive because no representative from NSCZ was invited to monitor elections.
“We have given them time to organise themselves. When ZHA pays its affiliation fees, we will permit them to hold their annual general meeting and elections under the supervision of an official from NSCZ,” he said.
Phiri said NSCZ has continued communicating with associations that have not paid affiliation fees.
