NKANA are leading the Zambia Golf Union Northern Region Triangular Circuit with 96 points.
They amassed 42 points in the first round, 16 better than Mufulira while Ndola were third with 28 points.
Nkana maintained their impressive run in the second round, collecting 54 points while Ndola garnered 39 to dislodge Mufulira, who had 17 points from second position.
The third round is billed for next weekend in Ndola.
The teams comprise 18 players, nine from the A Division and same from the B Division.
Nkana featured the likes of captain Grey Sakala, Aaron Simfukwe, Darren Warren, Siege Kabaso and Stanley Tembo.
Sakala is impressed with his team’s performance.
“The performance was good, it wasn’t easy, but we are in pole position. We hope to finish strong in Ndola when the final round begins.  For a change we want to win the National Triangular because we have not performed too well in the previous outing,” said Sakala in an interview in Kitwe yesterday.
