MATHEWS KABAMBA, Kitwe
NKANA president Evaristo Kabila has urged the legendary side to target the top two positions in the 2017 season.
Kabila said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that the club is very ambitious this season and expects the club to perform better than they did last year.
Nkana finished third on the table with 70 points, 11 behind champions Zanaco.
“This will be a very tough season, so it’s important that the club is well prepared. I have seen the squad and it is a good team. We are looking forward to a very good season this year.
“Our target this season is just the first and second slots, nothing less. We expect the coaches to deliver and we’re confident that coach Saileti and his technical bench will perform wonders this season,” Kabila said.
Saileti was appointed head coach in January this year replacing Aggrey Chiyangi who was ‘elevated’ to the position of technical director.
Saileti will be assisted by Gift Kampamba and Billy Mwanza.
Kabila urged the Nkana fraternity to pull in the same direction so that success is achieved.
