NOT for the first time, Kaunda Simonda has been asked to stand in as head-coach at Super League champions Nkana after the Kitwe side decided that
Kelvin Kaindu could do with some rest for three weeks.When the champions decided to send Manfred Chabinga on forced leave last year, Simonda
again stood in.In a candid interview, he questioned some of the signings that the club made.“For a big club like Nkana,for me I think we should go
back into the market and find some good players that can push Nkana where it belongs,” Simonda said back in December last year. “For now, we struggling because we don’t have much players that can win the games for Nkana.” Since then, a number of new arrivals have joined although none of them could be said to be marque signings.But Simonda knows that something has to change.“We have to change the way we are playing and start winning,” the acting Nkana head coach said yesterday ahead of his team’s meeting against fellow-relegation threatened Lumwana Radiants in Solwezi.“The results we are getting are not good, we can’t continue like this.” Barely three days after sending Kaindu on a forced CLICK TO READ MORE
