VISITING Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe yesterday held a closed-door meeting with outgoing acting president Guy Scott.
Speaking to journalists after the meeting, Dr Scott who did not disclose what they discussed said the two leaders were ‘only having a cordial chat as personal friends.
“We are good personal friends and our two countries have been together in the same boat for a very long time. We are former Rhodesians and yes, you could call our two countries Siamese twins,†he said.
Dr Mugabe who is also Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) chairperson is among other presidential delegates who have been invited for today’s inauguration ceremony.
