Men’s team back to losing streak

ZAMBIA’s inconsistency at the ongoing 43rd Chess Olympiads in Georgia on Wednesday continued when the men’s team lost 2.5-1.5 to Philippines in round nine while the women’s side drew 2-2 with Panama.
Team captain International Master (IM) Andrew Kayonde managed a draw with Grand Master (GM) Sadorra Julio Catalino on board one.
Fide Master Douglas Munenga followed suit drawing with Gomez John Paul on board two but Kaulule Siame gifted the Philippians the lead when he lost to Garcia Jan Emmanuel on board three.
Daniel Mulenga drew with IM Pascua Haridas on board four.
