STRIKER Emmanuel Mayuka is reportedly missing from Zamalek and the Egyptian side has pressed a panic button.
Mayuka, who was expected back in Egypt after the festive season, is reported to have gone Away Without Official Leave (AWOL) and the club is not aware about his whereabouts.
According to the club officials, Zamalek are eager to locate Mayuka.
Efforts to get Mayuka proved futile.
Mayuka (left) is missing from the list of players submitted to the Confederation of African Football for the 2017 Champions League.
He has failed to replicate the form that saw him win the golden boot with Zambia at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
The striker caught the attention of English side Southampton after leading the Chipolopolo to conquering Africa.
Mayuka scored one goal at Southampton and was later loaned to French side Sochaux where he reunited with compatriots Stopilla Sunzu and Nathan Sinkala including former Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard.
He later joined French side Metz before trekking to Zamalek.
The former Kabwe Warriors striker also had a stint with Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv.
