I am not madala – Daka

SKIPPER Patson Daka says he is eligible to feature for the under-17 national team.
Speaking in an interview yesterday at Lusaka’s Kenneth Kaunda International Airport upon arrival from Uganda, Daka said he is 16 years old.
“I am 16 years old and I am eligible to play for the under-17 national team,” he said.
Uganda coach Mathias Lule accused Daka and defender Edwin Chipile of being overage.
The two players contributed a goal apiece in the 2015 Niger Africa Junior Championship last round first leg at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium on September 12 that the hosts won 2-0.
Daka said the accusation was meant to disturb him ahead of last Saturday’s return leg in Kampala that Zambia won 2-1.
“Uganda were using mind games to disturb me but the coaches prepared me mentally,” the Nchanga Rangers forward said.
And under-17 coach Chris Kaunda is happy that his charges played according to instructions in Kampala.
National Sports Council of Zambia chairperson Mwamba Kalenga urged the players to continue working hard.
Addressing players at the airport, Kalenga implored the junior Chipolopolo to maintain discipline as they prepare for the Africa Junior Championship.
Football Association of Zambia vice-president Boniface Mwamelo told the players to aim at finishing among the top four in Niger so that they qualify for the 2015 Chile World Cup.
Zambia Sports Fans Association members led by patron Peter Makembo received the team.
