PR Girl Media, the organisers of the Lusaka July, are happy with the way things turned out at the Lusaka July last Saturday.Held under the theme “Colony of Wealthy”, hundreds of fashion (and to a lesser extent polo enthusiasts) turned-up in their luxurious outfits.
“As promised, the event was not short of glamour and celebrity attention with mega stars such as Ghanaian Nadia Buari, South African Maps Maponyane, Dillish Matthews from Namibia, Cleo Ice Queen, Macky 2, Chef 187, Mampi, Bombshell and many others,” PR Girl Media partner Chishimba Nyambe said in a statement made available to the Weekend Mail in Lusaka.
Following the success of the event in its third year, PR Girl Media has confirmed that Lusaka July has proven itself as a must-attend event in Lusaka.
“This is a multi-faceted event, it’s about the fashion but also aims to cater for sports fans with competitive polo matches played along the social activities,” the statement reads.
“This year, we have seen the fusion of fashion and polo in a way that can only get better in the years to come.”
Afro-jazz singer James Sakala was one of the entertainers at the Lusaka July alongside Kuni, the Afro Red, DJ Sebastien Dutch, El Mukuka and DJ V Jeezy.
Of the event, he says: “Lusaka July 2018 is no longer an idea, it is here to stay and I am honoured to have performed at the prestigious event to a crowd of beautiful Zambians.”
Stella Artois, Stanbic Bank Zambia, Air Namibia, South African Airways and The Terrace Apartments were the biggest sponsors of the event.
“The incorporation of corporate entities in the Lusaka July has proven that the event has the potential to expand the reach of lifestyle events throughout Zambia, promoting tourism including Zambian luxury products and services,” the PR Girl Media statement reads.
“It is undeniable that Lusaka July 2018 is a welcomed initiative in the entertainment industry and has won the hearts of not only socialites and celebrities but also the corporates.”
