DIFFERENCES over who leads the political dialogue process, which has been pending for months, have drastically narrowed following the Patriotic Front and United Party for National Development’s (UPND) agreement to allow the Church to play a pivotal role.President Edgar Lungu on Tuesday issued a rallying call to the Zambia Centre for Inter-party Dialogue (ZCID) to allow the Church to take a leading role in the talks.
The President’s position was yesterday broadly welcomed by the Church and the UPND, who were bitter critics of ZCID as they preferred that the process be led by the Commonwealth.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
