KELVIN MBEWE, Lusaka
PRESIDENT Lungu is today expected to present the (2017- 2021) Seventh National Development Plan (7NDP).
The plan focuses on the creation of a diversified and resilient economy for sustained growth and socio-economic transformation driven by agriculture, mining and tourism.
Minister of Development Planning Lucky Mulusa said this at a press briefing yesterday.
“The plan, like the three national development plans that precede it, is aimed at attaining the long-term objectives as outlined in the Vision 2030 of becoming a “prosperous middle income country by the year 2030’,” he said.
Mr Mulusa said the plan is based on the integrated multi-sectoral approach which recognises the multi-faced and inter-linked nature of sustainable development.
