Lungu lands in Japan for bilateral talks

PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu has arrived in Japan for a three-day official visit meant to scale up with one of the world’s biggest economies.
The plane carrying the Head of State touched down at Haneda International Airport at around 16:50 hours local time.
President Lungu was welcomed by a representative of the Japanese government, Kenji Yamada.
Others who welcomed the President were Minister of Foreign Affairs Joseph Malanji, Zambia’s Ambassador to Japan Ndiyoyi Mutiti and other government officials.
The Head of State is in Japan at the invitation of the country’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe.
While in Japan, Mr Lungu is expected to meet the Japanese emperor, Akihito, and hold a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister where some bilateral agreements will be signed http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
