Lundazi electricity project cheers PF

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Lundazi district public and information secretary Lingford Nyirenda has commended Government for launching a US$1 million  Lundazi Green Village  Power Project (LGVP) aimed at providing electricity to government facilities and private houses.
The project is expected to connect 300 houses, a clinic, Chief Magodi’s palace, a school and shops.
Mr Nyirenda urged party members in the district to highlight the development projects the ruling party is implementing countrywide.
Minister of Higher Education Nkandu Luo recently launched the project which involves the installation of a 48 kilowatt solar mini-grid to supply lighting to Egichikeni community of Lundazi district.
The National Technology Business Centre (NTBC) project was launched at Egichikeni Primary School.
NTBC, in collaboration with the Green Knowledge Institute, launched the phase one of the LGVP to generate and supply electricity to the community.
In welcoming the new development, Mr Nyirenda said in a walk-in-interview in Chipata PF was a working government under the leadership of President Lungu.
“Since the re-election of President Lungu last year, the PF has continued to invest in communities and the LGVP is a testimony that Government cares for the rural community,” he said.
Mr Nyirenda said the PF administration in the province under the leadership of provincial chairperson Andrew Lubusha had no time to waste on politicking but was focusing on highlighting the achievements of the ruling party in all sectors.
He said Lundazi residents were happy with the development President Lungu was bringing to rural areas.
