Lumwana improves water supply

MARTIN MUSUNKA, Solwezi
BARRICK Lumwana Mining Company has reiterated its commitment to working with the Zambian government and the community in supporting initiatives that promote the health and well-being of the communities in which it operates.
The mining company has further pledged to support and pilot new models of potable clean and safe water access in the Lumwana community in Kalumbila district of North-Western Province.
Speaking during the official handover ceremony of the Manyama Water Kiosk project in Lumwana built at a cost of K125,000, Barrick Lumwana Mining Company senior corporate affairs manager Nathan Chishimba said the company will continue working with stakeholders in the area to ensure improved access to potable water.READ MORE
