Lufwanyama district gets dam

NKOMBO KACHEMBA, Kitwe
GOVERNMENT in partnership with the World Bank has started building a dam on Katembula River in Lufwanyama district on the Copperbelt Province at a cost of K9.7 million for irrigation.
The dam, which is about 240 metres wide, will also be used to supply piped water to the district once the works are completed.
Lufwanyama district director of works Estatius Miyambo said in an interview on Tuesday that the works have already started and have reached an advanced stage.READ MORE
