Living one day at a time

Life & Life Issues with EMMANUEL MUKULA
ONE of the secrets of living a happy life is to make it simple and living one day at a time.
No one will live forever and once a day passes, it’s gone forever.
So your time is too valuable to be wasted on things that make you miserable.
No matter what knocks you down in life, get up and keep going and never give up.
Great blessings come as a result of great perseverance.
I have come to learn that most of us take pleasure in discussing our problems; it’s like an addiction.
You need to break this habit and begin to talk about your joys and blessings instead. Good things come to those who believe; better things come to those who are patient; and the best things come to those who don’t give up.
Do not pray for God to give you an easy life; pray for the strength to endure a difficult one and be happy.
You have to be strong and understand that disappointments are part of life and were not meant to destroy you.
They were meant to strengthen you and give you fortitude to accomplish your God-given destiny.
We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we didn’t have, but by appreciating and being content with what we have. When you love and are content with what you have, then you have everything you need.
Sometimes the greatest act of faith is to simply get up and face a new day.
Never let your wants make you forget the things you have .Gratitude is an amazing spice of life. Patience is not the ability to wait, but how you act while you are waiting.
Always remember that you were born to win. But to be a winner, you must plan to win.
Therefore prepare to win, and expect to win. Every day presents an opportunity for a new beginning so take a deep breath and start again. Know that you are beautiful and loved. Every person is an amazing masterpiece of God with a purpose in life.
This means you don’t have to compare your progress with that of others because we all cannot move at the same pace.
Each one needs time their own time to run their race. To appreciate some of these nuggets of life, you have to surround yourself with people who are going to lift your spirit and urge you to carry on. It is better to be alone than in bad company.
Stick to people who truly love you and are able to motivate as well as make you happy. If the people you call friends, can’t do any of these things for you, let them go.
For that reason, it is important to surround yourself with positive people who will support you when it rains, not just when the sun shines bright. Being defeated is often a temporary condition; giving up is what makes it permanent.
