Lessons learnt from exit – Ching’andu

SKIPPER John Ching’andu says Zesco United players have learnt lessons from their early ejection from the CAF Champions League and promised to come back stronger in future.
Zesco on Saturday bowed out of Africa’s prestigious club competition after battling to a 2-2 draw on aggregate with eSwatini side Royal Leopards.
Zesco beat Leopards 2-1 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola but lost 1-0 in Manzini for Leopards to advance on an away-goal rule.
This was the first time Zesco were getting eliminated in the preliminary round since making their debut in the CAF Champions League in 2008.
Ching’andu said in an interview yesterday that Zesco players are disappointed to exit the competition.
“Everyone’s mood is low since it was a bad result but there is nothing we can do. We just have to move on and focus on the league so that we can qualify to play in the CAF Champions League next season. It is a lesson and we have learnt something from this CLICK TO READ MORE
