WORKS on the full rehabilitation of the Kawambwa-Luwingu road are nearing completion with 90 percent of works done so far.
The road, which is being undertaken by Chinese contractor Unik, connects Luapula Province to Northern and Muchinga provinces via Kawambwa.
Kawambwa district commissioner Ivo Mpasa said in an interview this week that the Kawambwa-Luwingu road will enhance Zambia’s trade with Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Tanzania when completed.
