Kasama to get K1.9m bus terminus

GOVERNMENT has released K1.9 million towards the construction of a modern bus terminus in Kasama.
Provincial Engineer for infrastructure and housing James Musonda said in an interview that the project will be undertaken by Chimwenda Investment of Kitwe.
“The contractor has since moved on site located near Chikumanino
Market to begin the works and the project is expected to be completed within 16 weeks,” he said.
Mr Musonda said this development will improve the appearance of Kasama and will help local authorities to regulate the operations of the bus operators in the area.
And marketers and traders in Kasama have welcomed the development as it is expected to boost trade and other economic activities in the area.
