Kalulushi maize harvest increases

KALULUSHI district on the Copperbelt is this year expected to harvest 13,000 metric tonnes of maize compared to last year’s 12,000 metric tonnes, Kalulushi district agriculture co-ordinator Davies Kaboboto has said.
The increase is attributed to the good policies Government is implementing in the agriculture sector.
Mr Kaboboto said a recent crop focus survey indicates that maize production in the district has increased by 1,000 metric tonnes from last year’s 12,000 metric tonnes.
