Judiciary ‘found guilty’

STEVEN MVULA, Parliament
THE Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has warned of stern action against officers in the Judiciary for continued financial irregularities, and has urged the Auditor-General to take special interest in the institution.

The Auditor-General’s Report shows delayed banking for almost one year at various courts amounting to K1.2 million and unaccounted-for revenue of about K358,000.
PAC chairperson Howard Kunda led other committee members in grilling the chief administrator, Nalishebo Imataa, over glaring financial misappropriation cited in the 2016 Auditor-General’s Report.
