Inevitable in the end

Soccer Review with KELVIN KACHINGWE
FROM where I am, I can imagine Zanaco general manager Marlon Kananda planning on how he was going to relay the news to coach Mumamba Numba and his assistant Kelvin Kaindu that it was time to take leave.
It is a decision that the hierarchy at Zanaco delayed making for as long as possible while holding the belief that Numba and Kaindu would eventually turn the corner. But with each game, those on the outside came to the conclusion that that was unlikely to happen, not in the short term, anyway.
There was a general belief that Numba had taken the team as far as he could possibly do. The rot started while Dabid Chilufya was still his assistant. The bringing in of Kelvin Kaindu, a former player and assistant coach, was meant to bring in fresh ideas on the technical bench. But that did not happen. The results never improved.
