GOVERNMENT is in the next two months expected to start setting industrial yards in seven provinces as part of the job creation agenda through industrialisation.
Citizens Economic Empowerment Commission (CEEC) director general Likando Mukumbuta said the tender process for the industrial yards was finalised last month.
Mr Mukumbuta said this on Thursday when he appeared before the Parliamentary Committee on Youth, Sport and Child matters to present a memorandum on youth unemployment in Zambia.
“We ran a tender for the construction of the yards and it closed in December last year. We expect to finish negotiations with the contractor and the works are expected to start next month,” he said.
