HOSTING of the World Bank’s International Development Association high-level meeting puts Zambia on a global spotlight as it indirectly markets the country’s tourism attractions, Bank of Zambia (BoZ) Governor Denny Kalyalya says.
Dr Kalyalya said the conference is a huge event that has attracted senior World Bank officials, a combination of IDA deputies, representing donor countries and borrower member states.
“To host this conference, we had to bid for it. Missions came to assess Zambia’s capacity to host such a gathering, looking at issues of safety, facilities and flight into the country – and Livingstone in particular,” he said in an interview
