Heroes becoming white elephant

Soccer Review with Stephen Phiri
THE National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka may become a white elephant because football clubs have shunned the facility.
It may become unsustainable if it is going to be used mostly for the home matches of the national soccer team.
This is where the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) comes in yet again by ensuring that some of the capital city’s top-of-the-bill matches are held there.
Even teams like Lusaka Tigers, who boast of unprecedented following in Matero township should consider spoiling their fans by holding some of their big games in the 50,000-seater stadium.
