Harmony on Copperbelt University medical courses elates PSZ

THE Pharmaceutical Society of Zambia (PSZ) is satisfied with the manner in which the stand-off between the Health Professions Council of Zambia and Higher Education Authority (HEA) on the withdrawal of three programmes at the Copperbelt University (CBU) has been handled.
PSZ president Jerome Kanyika said in an interview yesterday that institutions regulating education in health or other areas need to harmonise and pull in one direction.
“We applaud the quick response from the Attorney-General [Likando Kalaluka] and the reaction culminating into the joint statement.
“It helps members of the public, the faculty and the university to know the way forward,” he said.
