THE Gomes Forest Rally revs off in Ndola today with Muna Singh junior targeting to extend his lead on the summit of the national championship chart.

The Gomes Forest Rally is the sixth round of the seven on the Zambia Motor Sports Association (ZMSA) national calendar.
Sponsors Gomes Haulage have pumped in K100,000 towards the staging of the event that has attracted 16 drivers.
The drivers will showcase their driving skills at Ndola Motor Club and Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation (ZAFFICO) farms.

Leroy is yet to win the National Rally Championship since making his debut in 2014.
Leroy, who will be racing in his Mitsubishi Evolution IX, is among the favourites for the top four finish.
Other top drivers that have entered the competition are defending champion Jassy Singh, Laston Hamoonga, Geoffrey Chulu, Farook Ticklay and Leroy’s brother Kleevan.
Muna is on the pinnacle with 64 points and is followed by his elder brother Jassy and Kyle Latife who have 57 points apiece while Kleevan and Leroy lie in third position with 43 points.
Last year, Jassy won the championship after clocking 1:15:41 hours to beat his closest rival Leroy who managed 1:16:44 hours.
