Free trade ideal for Africa

THE implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is necessary if countries are to curb smuggling, the African Union (AU) Commission says.
AU commissioner for trade Albert Muchanga also says the organisation has sourced three million euros from the European Union to help African countries develop strategies that will facilitate trade ahead of the implementation of the agreement.
