I write this letter in view of the many covid-19-related deaths recorded in the country so far.
There seems to be some reluctance in sensitising members of the public on the use of face masks and hand sanitising in the second wave.
In as much as a few citizens are adhering to the prevention and protection measures, there is need for State authorities to put in place measures and embark on a digital campaign that masks, countrywide, should strictly and mandatory be considered, especially when visiting busy places such as grocery stores, shopping centres, places of work or when using public transport. The rule breakers should be fined, sent back or forced to buy masks.
Appropriate use of face masks is the only way we can end the spread of the virus.
