FIFA okays National Heroes Stadium

WORLD soccer governing body FIFA has approved National Heroes Stadium as the venue for Chipolopolo’ next Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifier against Equatorial Guinea billed for next month.
Earlier this month Chipolopolo hosted Tunisia at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium as per directive from FIFA.
Zambia lost 2-0 to Tunisia in Ndola.
Football Association of Zambia communications manager Sydney Mungala confirmed in a statement issued last month that according to Head of Qualifiers and International Matches at FIFA Gordon Savic the timings and venues were a prerogative of FIFA to decide.
According to the list of venues approved FIFA for the back-to-back October qualifers, several teams will play their matches in foreign land after their stadia failed to meet the requirements.
