Letter to the Editor

FAZ has been slow on Walter’s investigation

Dear editor,
THERE seems to be more to Walter Bwalya’s issue than meets the

eye.
Just after then Lusaka Dynamos Football Club chief executive officer Simataa Simataa reported having appealed to FAZ over the Nkana marksman’s status, events that have followed worry ordinary fans.
Simataa, as a whistle-blower, had his employment with Dynamos terminated mysteriously while FAZ remained mute after receiving the protest.
There was so much silence from the FAZ secretariat until the Congolese club where Walter played came out in the open to claim that the player ran away.
FAZ should have started investigating the very time the Dynamos’ protest letter reached them.
The Walter issue may be a can of worms that reveals a lot of things because those people claiming to be his biological parents should be subjected to a DNA test while establishing where the player procured his green national registration card.
The issue has put Forest Rangers on the spot.
May the probe begin.
