Fake IDs dislocate street vendors

THOUSANDS of street vendors were yesterday sent away from City Market because they had wrong membership cards which they allegedly obtained from unrecognised associations.

The vendors, who started going to City Market as early as 04:00 hours, were sent away around 14:30 hours when the market management noticed that they were submitting fake membership cards.
This came to light when City Market management, in partnership with United Street Vendors Foundation Cooperative Society (USVFCS), were about to start allocating stands to vendors.
