Ex-hubby ordered to pay back money

CHRISTINE CHISHA, Lusaka
FOR the sake of peace and moving on, a 51-year-old man of Chelstone police camp agreed to pay K1,500 he owes his ex-wife, money he borrowed in 2011 when they were still married.
In what looked like a case of sour grapes, Justin Molo told senior court magistrate Bertha Zulu that the money he recalls getting from his ex-wife Dinas Mwanza was K800, which he used to pay for their children’s school fees.
“I am ready to give her the money she has accused me of owing her. I need my peace, especially for the sake of moving on. The money she is demanding is not a debt, I asked her as my wife then in 2011 that she give me K800 so that I settle the children’s school fees.
This is in a case in which Mwanza sued Molo for non-payment of a debt amounting to K1, 500. The court ordered Molo to settle the debt.
