Ex-BP employees insist HH refund

CHOMBA MUSIKA, Lusaka
THE 92 former British Petroleum (BP) Zambia employees who are demanding to be paid K457 million in pension benefits by United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema have stepped up preparations for the transportation of over 200 affected families who will be camped at Mr Hichilema’s house.
Over a week ago, the former BP pensioners had given Mr Hichilema a seven-day ultimatum in which to release the money, failure to which they would camp all the affected families outside his house.
The 92 workers have said they have been battling in court with Hichilema’s pension fund for over 20 years in vain for their benefits.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
