EU injects €465 million into agro, energy sectors

THE European Union (EU) has injected €465 million into the energy and agriculture sectors in Zambia.
EU head of cooperation Gianluca Azzoni said in an interview that the funds will support government programmes which will run up to 2020 in the two sectors. Mr Azzoni said the programmes include those that were initiated in 2014.
“We have €240 million allocated to the energy sector, which is by far the most important area of cooperation for the EU here in Zambia.
