Embassy Park attracts tourists

Embassy Park in Lusaka is now the third preferred tourist destination in Zambia after the Victoria Falls in Livingstone and the Chishimba Falls in Kasama.

Embassy Park has a memorial site on which three former heads of State are buried.  It is visited by 16,264 local and foreign tourists on average per annum.
Interred on the site are Frederick Chiluba, Levy Mwanawasa and Michael Sata.
The Victoria Falls tops the list with 141,929 foreign and domestic visits while the Chishimba Falls in the Northern Province is second with 16,500 tourists visiting annually.
National Heritage Conservation Commission (NHCC) information and public relations manager Isaac Kanguya said in an interview from Ndola  yesterday that the number of tourists visiting Embassy Park in Lusaka is overwhelming.
