I RECENTLY attended aptitude tests for the position of research officer at the Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ).
ECZ invited 166 candidates. I feel this number of candidates was too big considering we were competing for only one position.
ECZ could have reduced the number to 50 or 60 at the shortlisting stage and then after aptitude test select 10 or less to attend interviews.
This would have helped those who were coming from other towns to save on transport.
For instance I spent K500 on transport to come and attend the aptitude tests.
