DRC borders re-opened

THE Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has re-opened three border points shared with Zambia on the Copperbelt after voting on Sunday in the delayed presidential election.
Chililabombwe and Mufulira district commissioners Paul Mulenga and Hilda Kawesha, respectively, said in separate interviews yesterday that the borders have re-opened and normal operations are taking place.
Mr Mulenga said the situation at Kasumbalesa has returned to normal, and trade is being conducted peacefully.
He said citizens from both countries are crossing the border freely to conduct their businesses
