Dora mocks Andrew Banda

PETAUKE Central member of Parliament (MP) Dora Siliya (PF) has described former President Rupiah Banda’s son Andrew as “a loose canon with no traction in Zambia’s political space”.
Ms Siliya’s reaction follows comments attributed to Mr Banda in yesterday’s edition of The Post in which he is quoted as saying: “Dora Siliya is an embarrassment to the people of Eastern Province because she is the only female minister who survives on insulting men.”
In 2015, Ms Siliya won a by-election by more than 80 percent of the votes cast.
She charged that Mr Banda is looking for any relevance even if it extends to initiating fights with those who are not his opponents.
Ms Siliya, who is Minister of Energy and Water Development, said although Mr Banda may be a member of the opposition United Party for National Development (UPND) and does not agree with her, he is still irrelevant to Zambian politics.
She said this in a posting on her Facebook page yesterday.
