Diarrhoea cases alarm Choma officials

CATHERINE MUMBA, Choma
CHOMA District in Southern Province has recorded 12,125 cases of diarrhoea from January to date, with most of them being as a result of residents using water from unprotected wells.
Shampande Clinic recorded the highest number of 1,732 while Batoka and Pangwe clinics had the lowest with eight apiece.
Choma district administrative officer Hope Chiposo described the statistics as alarming.
The statistics are contained in a report presented during the district epidemic preparedness committee meeting yesterday.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
