FOUR district commissioners have rubbished claims by some sections of the public that a series of meetings the Ministry of National Guidance and Religious Affairs has embarked on to promote morals, values and ethics is a political strategy.
The district commissioners have also urged the Church to take a leading role in promoting morals, values and ethics to promote national unity.
Rufunsa District Commissioner Judith Chama said moral decay should be a matter of concern for both Government and the opposition.
“The series of meetings by the Ministry of National Guidance is a religious affair and should be supported by all well-meaning Zambians. It is not a political gimmick or strategy but a promotion of cultural heritage and national unity,” she said.
