EASTERN Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kasolo has called for integrated efforts from civil society organisations (CSOs) and other stakeholders to curb child exploitation and human trafficking in the region.
Mr Kasolo said child abuse should be rooted out in the province to protect the children from any form of exploitation.
He said this during the commemoration of Save the Children Regional Advocacy campaign in Chipata recently.
“At the regional level,it is important for us to put efforts to curb unsafe and irregular migration of children, particularly those moving unaccompanied without the care and protection of their caregivers or parents,” he said.
