CORRUPTION WON’T BE CONDONED

PRESIDENT Lungu says he will not condone corruption in his government because it poses a huge threat to the attainment of social development goals.
He said he will not look kindly upon members of his government who take advantage of their positions to enrich themselves at the expense of the Zambian people.

“Corruption siphons the collective wealth of a country into individuals’ pockets, depriving citizens of quality education, proper health care, infrastructure and other basic needs,” he said when he officiated at the commemoration of the Anti-Corruption Day in Lusaka yesterday.
