Congrats Zesco United for big win

Dear editor,
HATS off to Zesco United for qualifying to the first round of the CAF Champions League. Zesco thumped Jeshi la Kujenga Uchumi of Zanzibar 7-0 in the preliminary round return leg at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Wednesday.
The teams drew 0-0 in Zanzibar two weeks ago. Zesco should prepare adequately ahead of the first round first-leg clash against Asec Mimosas of Ivory Coast on March 6. Asec is a top-drawer team that will give Zesco a good run.
There is need for Zesco to win big at home to render the return leg in Abidjan a formality. Zesco know Asec’s strength and weaknesses having faced the West Africans in the 2016 CAF Champions League group stage.
Zesco beat Asec 3-1 in Ndola and were held to a 1-1 draw in Abidjan.
The Ndola-based side went on to reach the semi-finals of the prestigious competition. Zambians expect Zesco to beat the 2016 record and win the country a maiden Champions League title. Where there is a will, there is a way.
Congratulations to Zanaco for qualifying to the Champions League first round.
Zanaco beat Gambia Armed Forces 3-1 on Saturday night to progress to the next round 6-1 on aggregate.
