Chongwe, Solwezi take lead

CHONGWE yesterday continued with their impressive run at the ongoing Coca-Cola National Schools Championship when they topped Group A with six points.
Chongwe beat Mitondo 2-1 with Isaac Phiri and Moses Tembo contributing a goal apiece and the Copperbelt envoys got the consolation through Fred Mwiche while Chizongwe clobbered Mungwi 3-1 in the other match and Highridge battled to a 1-1 draw with Mitondo.
Chizongwe are second with four points, Highridge and Mitondo have two points apiece and Mungwi have a point.
Solwezi are in the driving seat in Group B with seven points while defending champions Highridge and Kaoma have two points apiece.
Samfya are on second with four points, Linda are third on three points and Mpika are at the bottom without a point.
Solwezi beat Samfya 2-1, Linda thrashed Mpika 4-1 while Kaoma held Solwezi to a goalless draw.
