Chiyangi should commit to Eagles

Dear editor,
I SYMPATHISE with the Zambia National Service over the performance of Green Eagles Football Club, which has suffered during the absence of coach Aggrey Chiyangi.

ZNS engaged Chiyangi, who had been released by Nkana, to improve the performance of the Choma-based club.
However, Chiyangi has spent more time with the national team at friendly games such as the COSAFA Cup and the African Nations tournaments at the expense of Eagles.
Much as Chiyangi is Wedson Nyirenda’s right-hand man, he should have recused himself from either the COSAFA or CHAN games to stabilise Eagles and join the national team bench for important fixtures such as the Africa and World Cup qualifiers.
We appeal to Chiyangi’s conscious over this matter because the assistants there, George Chilufya and Alex Namazaba, have failed the team.
Please, Chiyangi, attend to Eagles because they are paying your bills.
