Chirundu calls for speedy works on civic centre

Government complex.

STEVEN MVULA, Chirundu
CHIRUNDU District Council has appealed to Government to accelerate the completion of the modern civic centre to lessen the burden of the local authority of spending K45,000 every month on office rentals.

Chirundu District Council chief administrative officer Boyd Mukosha said in an interview yesterday that the local authority has been operating in rented office facilities for the past five years.
He said the office space the local authority is renting is inadequate and that senior officers have been sharing offices with junior officers since the time Chirundu was declared a district in 2012.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
