Cash transfer uplifting poor

Dear editor,
ACCORDING to the latest Central Statistical Office Living Conditions Survey, poverty levels in Zambia currently stand at 54.4 percent.
Government alone cannot reduce poverty levels, hence the need for all citizens to join hands.
Government has so far put in place measures through the social cash transfer as evidenced by the release of K45.8 million in January 2018.
I was happy to see the beneficiaries getting their dues in Mpatamato recently.
I am optimistic that by the end of the year, we are going to see poverty levels going below 54.4 percent.
