Cactus shows persistence

AFTER nine months of relative quiet in the recording studio, ragga and dancehall artiste Cactus Agony has something that his fans will be intrigued to listen to – a new single in vernacular.
Singing in vernacular is something that Cactus, a singer, songwriter and recording artiste, has never done before on his previous albums, Bush Territory and Zambian Music.
“The music I’m going to put out now will show people that I’ve rebranded a little because people say Cactus can’t sing vernacular, so some people will notice that I’ve rebranded,” says Cactus, who was born Humphrey Mwila and spent his formative years in Kitwe before relocating to England for school where he got influenced by Caribbean music.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
