Book club

SITEMBILE SIWAWA, Lusaka
THE Alchemy Women in Leadership (AWIL) in partnership with the American Embassy will this month launch a Book Club.
The Book Club is an initiative that sees members review books  by men and women as a means of promoting support amongst career people.
AWIL founding director Chimango Chikwanda said in a statement that the first book to be reviewed is Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg in celebration of her late husband, Dave Goldberg, who was CEO of SurveyMonkey. Goldberg died last month.
Sheryl references her husband consistently throughout Lean In – including on the first page. He was the vice-president of Yahoo Music when they married in 2004 and when she was pregnant with their first child, she was living near Facebook HQ in the Bay Area. Dave was in Los Angeles; he eventually, he agreed to leave Yahoo and come to Silicon Valley to be with her full-time.
Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to lead is a 2013 book written by Sherly Sandberg the chief operating officer of Facebook and Nell Scovell, TV and magazine writer.
